To start off my first post, I wanted to briefly go over what got me into crafting in the first place – miniatures. When I was a little girl I’d work on miniature dollhouses with my mom and grandmother, and it continued to be a hobby for me all the way into my late twenties and onward.
I stopped working on them about a year after my first son was born, and really haven’t gone back. Not because there is anything really inherently wrong with them, but they just aren’t as functional as I’d like. They’re great to build and can be a fun bonding activity to do with someone else who likes to craft, but at the end of the day they will just end up taking up space. I’d much rather work on practical crafts that add to my homes aesthetic or help out my family in some way.
Sorry about the short post, but I just wanted to get that out of the way as I know there may be some confusion for those of you who have followed me over here from social media.
